The upcoming San Marino Grand Prix of MotoGP™ is going to be an exciting one for the Ego Corsa, as the build up to the first-ever edition of the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Cup picks up some serious momentum, in what will be an action-packed event for the all-electric superbike machine by Energica.
Proceedings will get underway tomorrow, when two Ego Corsa machines will join a parade ride through the historical streets of San Marino with riders Manuel Poggiali and Alex De Angelis onboard, before heading to Riccione’s renowned Piazzale Ceccarini for a talk show hosted by Sky Italy MotoGP commentator Guido Meda – which will also see the participation of Energica’s CTO Giampiero Testoni.

On Thursday, the main straight of the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli will host the official group photo of the teams principles taking part in the 2019 FIM MotoE World Cup, but before then Loris Capirossi and Alessandro Brannetti will take on the first of three testing sessions with the 2019 Ego Corsa (the other two will take place on Friday and Saturday).

Last but not least, former 500cc World Champion, FIM MotoGP Hall of Famer and current Safety Official of the FIM (International Motorcycling Federation) for MotoGP Franco Uncini will jump aboard the Ego Corsa for the thirteenth demo lap of the year, around the sweeping 4.2km (2.63 miles) of the Misano World Circuit and in front of the traditionally-vocal and passionate Italian crowd.

I’m very happy to have been chosen to ride the Ego Corsa at Misano” says Franco Uncini, “and I’m very excited about it. It’s something I’ve never tried before and it’s surely a new technology that is becoming more and more part of our lives. Loris Capirossi, who has almost become a veteran with the Ego Corsa given all the testing he’s done so far, has told me great things about the bike. It will also be great to be back on two wheels after quite a long time. For now, I can say ‘speak later’ as I’m looking forward to sharing with you my feedback about the Ego Corsa!
